cosy creams

Sportsgirl knit | Mister Zimi leather jacket | J Brand jeans| Celine bag | Chloe 'susanna' boots

The one thing that I love all year round are light-weight knits, but I love them more in winter because I can layer them with my leather jackets. I'm a pretty clumsy person, so when I'm hunting for a white/cream knit, it's pretty much a pre-requisite that I have to hunt below a certain price range. Which is probably how I find myself in either Zara or Sportsgirl, its the perfect price range for a knit so that I won't cry when I spill coffee on it. I'll tell you the story of how I spilt hot chocolate on my white silk Ellery another day.

Just a quick post from the weekend. I love winter days that are sunny and warm enough for bare legs.

absence

1/ Brunch with my girlfriends @ Bills
2/ Weekend camping trip to Jervis Bay
3/ Celine presents for my mother

I know I've been decidedly absent from my blog for the past week, it was mostly due to the insane workload with College of Law. Since I last updated, I've been doing what I do best- which is eat and shop

It will be back to usual trading hours this week! Stay tuned.

DKNY Fall 2013

Images courtesy of Fashion Gone Rogue

I know recently my blog has been everything-except-outfit-posts heavy recently, I've been so slammed at work I've barely had any time to take any photos especially with the early winter sunsets. But, given the choice, I'd rather look at Cara Delevingne rather my mug anyday. I love anyone who is strong enough to be themselves and then be become incredibly successful because they stuck true to their quirky self.

And plus, the above photos are really just perfect winter outfit inspirations.

meet rita

Some purchases are pure gluttony whilst others are born out of necessity. I like to think that this was a little bit of both, the best of both worlds if Miley Cyrus has anything to say. I'm sorry for inflicting that video clip on you, but I'm not going to lie and say that that song doesn't come to my mind everything someone mentions anything related to "the best" and "two worlds".

Anyways, before I delve any further off-track, I wanted the implore the fundamental hole that this purchase has filled in my wardrobe. If you follow my blog, you know that I have a certain soft spot for leather jackets; some call it a weakness, I call it elemental. Leather is pretty much the basis on what most of my outfits are built upon, easy and chic.

Now, I've finally found a leather jacket thick enough to really keep me warm through winter. Contrary to popular belief, it gets frigidity during Sydney winter. Not that I'm bemoaning my Mister Zimi leather jacket, but it's really more of an autumn leather jacket (or am I just desperately justifying this purchase?). I can't wait until the leather on this Acne jacket starts to really soften up; I've been wearing it around the house (and occasionally to sleep) in anticipation of this event.

caped crusader?

Shakuhachi cape | T by Alexander Wang tee | J Brand jeans| Prada bag | Nike hi-tops

I think I may have been subconsciously channeling Superman when I bought this burgundy cape. But then again, anything with the word 'cape' in it makes me think of Superheros. Although Miss Edna Mode did always warn that Superheros should stay away from capes; they'll kill ya. But luckily, I'm nowhere near a superhero and only follow their certain fashion choices; emphasis on the certain, you won't be seeing me wear my undies over my pants anytime soon.

In the meantime, cape worn over one of my favourite striped tees is the perfect combination for warm winter dressing.

play me the blues

J Crew sweater | Zara skorts, heels & clutch | Celine sunglasses

Like I complained in my last post, we've had two weeks of unbearable rain in Sydney. So the moment it even somewhat cleared up, I pulled out my not-very-winter-appropriate white Zara skorts. But I did balance it out with my J Crew cashmere sweater in the most cuddly blue colour. After not seeing the Sydney sky in its splendid blue for two weeks, it seemed appropriate to celebrate its return with a sweater of a sky blue shade.

rainy days wear

rainy days

For the past fortnight, it's been rainy cats and dogs in Sydney. Whilst its made taking outfit photos a bitch, it's made getting dressed a lot easier. Basically different versions of jeans, something soft and knitted and my loved striped tees. I really need to get my act together and invest in a pair of Hunter boots. Just can't decide on which one I want yet!
