lumberjack, no fuss.

uniqlo check shirt // blank denim jeans // steve madden heels

I'm convinced that coloured and printed jeans saved my life closet. It makes getting dressed in the morning so much easier when I can chuck on some coloured jeans and throw on the shirt from the top of my pile. It's officially winter in Sydney and I really need to get my act together and clean out my winter clothes from storage. Although, it scares me a little bit that I'm able to survive so far.

madame x.

Kendra Spears by Mariano Vivanco for Muse

I've been trying to find a winter jacket that will hopefully last me for the next 30 years. I want something that will be transcend the seasonal style changes but remain classically stylish. I really admire the styling of this editorial- the perfect vintage vibe against the modern and gritty city streets. It almost makes me forgive winter for making the world seem so dull, it reminds me that sometimes a monochromatic palette can make for the most evocative photos.

G.I.JANE wears prink right?

random mesh dress // equipment pink sleeveless signature blouse // topshop ashley lace-front sandals // Sportsgirl military jacket & belt

I don't dare think that I'll last any more than half an hour in the army, but if I was to - then I'm pretty sure my uniform will probably look something like this. Probably explains why I'd get kicked out of the army. But I love the contrast of the electric pink with the military green (and the lime green background)- it's the perfect way to bring a splash of colour to any outfit.

quiet beauty.

How stunning are these images? But not in the loud obnoxious manner that more often than not, defines our generation. It's the more understated and elegant beauty of an era gone by. It makes me want to sit in a bubble bath and watch Grace Kelly in To Catch A Thief

weekend eye-candy.

source: esimagic David Beckham for Elle

Munch on those abs. No need to thank me. Just some necessary eye candy, it's the weekend after all.

I know I said no need to thank me. But I lied. Nothing is for free.
Except this piece of trivia: Every morning, that tattooed piece of ideal male mating specimen cooks breakfast for his three boys. And not just the same thing, but everyone gets their special order, before taking them to school. Awww
Did your uterus just skip a beat too?

sweatpants friday.

Zara jacket // Wildfox Couture 'It was the best of times' // Bassike jeans // Tony Bianco shoes

These pants are my answer to the guilt of wearing sweatpants to anywhere that is not my house (late night runs for ice cream are excepted). They are an item of clothing that should strictly belong to the wardrobes of old men over 50 or housewives with big boobs, extensions and the need to stamp JUICY on their ass. Truth be told, I've seen people wear sweatpants and really pull it off; as in they look freaking fantastic in them, not so much I actually want to pull them off. I'm pretty sure that's the kind of attention people don't want. But I'm not someone with the kind of cool factor to be able to wear sweatpants and not look like I just rolled out of bed. Not that it has stopped me from trying. Most things can be solved with an Acne leather jacket afterall...

In the meantime, my comfort completely depends on these Bassike babies. They're just the normal straight-leg slightly-high-waisted jeans but I sized up ridiculously on these and because they're kinda highwaisted, I wear them on my hips and voila incredibly comfortable jeans with extra slouch factor. My mum hates them because they make me look like I have dwarf legs- but you know what? This is the same lady who told me that if I really wanted to go for this look, the crotch may as well drop to my knees, then it's really a look. And this was said with no sarcasm. Hello? Mixed messages much?

wish i'd bought ALAÏA LACE-UP SANDALS

I was going through my shoedrobe the other day and I realised I was in desperate need of some Alaia. If I ever get robbed at gunpoint I want to be able to act indignant and question the robber's knowledge of Parisian fashion houses. A girl's got to be prepared y'know? I mean, Carrie Bradshaw may have lost her Manolos but Cher had to dirty her Alaia, she kind of owns being robbed at gunpoint. But in all honesty, I would like to relive that scene, except without the gunpoint robbery part. So really, I just want to prance around LA in Alaia. Sue me.

So, if you have an extra 1.5k sitting around- pick yourself up one of these bad boys. The shoe of choice for Taylor, Carine & le Man Repeller. Oh wait, you can't. Sold out online bitches. They were briefly on sale- for the very reasonable price of 700ish, but it really was a situation of blinking and they're gone. In war, there is not time to think about your purchase. There's always someone around waiting to steal what's in your purse virtual basket.

Now repeat after me: I sincerely swear that should this ever occur again, I shall have my left hand wielding a credit card and my right hand steady over the check out button.

You know what they say- the higher the heel, the closer to god.

old love.

asos floral top // forever21 suede skirt // sportsgirl socks // steve madden shoes // louis vuitton bag // random blazer

I threw this outfit together with some items that's been sitting in my closet for awhile. I'm not sure if it happens to other people, but I have a tendency to get really excited about something and save them for a special occasion and then I never wear it. It just sits there at the back of my closet wondering where the hell I am and why it's so neglected. This navy blazer is a good example of that, I bought it maybe 2 years ago and it really hasn't gotten the amount of wear that it deserves. I have the biggest fear of outfit repetition but really I just need to learn to reinvent them into different outfits. Hmm...single minded or just lazy?

But by then I have new loves and ...it's not a happy ending
