wang relation.

I saw the first photo on They All Hate Us and it reminded me all over again that I may be 1000x older than her, she will always be cooler than me. While we are on this note, I also wouldn't mind trading lives with Harper Beckham, just saying...

tea gardens.

In an effort to blog daily, especially outfit shots I've left some other photos unattended. Better late than never right? Here's a small collection of photos from a recent trip to NSW Central Coast's Tea Gardens.

I've always been a dreamer, so when I heard that it was a place called Tea Gardens I imagined quaint cafes for brunch, walks by the seaside and lazy days spent by the beach. The weather wasn't the most co-operative and Monopoly (Disney edition, of course) filled out days and nights. On the last day, we found a place called Bluey's Beach which was so idyllic that I could barely remember home.

can't wait for my next holiday!

wish i'd bought ACNE POP TRASH

photo credits: Columbine Smile at LFW

I think the metaphorical pie that is my blog deserves a huge slice section dedicated to things that I had wish I'd purchased. Not to be confused with thing's that I want to purchase. Although, items on the latter list will inevitably find it's way onto the former list- me being a poor uni student and all. Unless there are any sponsors out there, feel free to holla my way.

To start of this new section, I present to the now infamous Acne pop trash jeans. They are  obligatorily sold out and unattainable. Of course, I had my chance and snubbed it. How will I know I really want to play with something unless everyone else has it and I can't? (Only child syndrome?) But really, my logical brain screamed at me as my mouse hovered over the check out button; almost as if it knows that the one thing between me and those jeans are the lack of overly friendly and fun shop assistants.

I trawled the worldwide net to try and find one last pair. I found a bunch of obscene stores, some intense acne medication and more DIY posts than you can shake a metallic pink Wang heel at. But the sartorial gods heard my cry and decided that I deserved it for listening to my logical self- that skinny jean clothed bitch in comfortable heels.

Please don't even remind me that it also came in the form of an A-Line skirt and jacket and subsequently sold out.

Now repeat after me: I sincerely swear that should this ever occur again, I shall have my left hand wielding a credit card and my right hand steady over the check out button.

flower bomb.

I think we need to take a moment and recognise that this is my third consecutive outfit post in three days. Pat on the backs are welcome too. That coupled with the new blog url and layout, I'm almost ready to quite law school and become a full time blogger. I joke- like I would be able to do that and still have a home to come back to.

I digress. If you've followed my blog for awhile you would probably have realised that behind all my outfits are the bindings of a childhood growing up in Ralph Lauren catalogues. I went through high school wishing that Abercrombie & Fitch would ship to Australia without costing an arm and a leg. I really don't have the confidence to pull off denim shorts with only one leg. Eurgh. Bad joke. But really my point is really just this. I never really had much thoughts on prints or bright colours or that other man repeller-esque thoughts. Until recently.

So here I am. Prints on prints, florals on florals and clashing in all its goodness. It's like a gave birth to a whole new style baby, minus all that blood, mucus and pain. Is the floral on floral too cliche? This outfit is probably another day in the life of another blogger but quite a statement for me. I think all this blogging is making me more daring in the outfits that I wear- personal growth and all that shiz. I'm quite the excitement :)

i love my ivy walls, evidently.

Agent99 neon tee // Cotton On denim skirt // vintage blazer // Alexander Wang Caroline shoes // American Apparel clutch // House of Harlow Chelsea sunglasses

I'm not quite sure how most bloggers do it, but they always seem to have photos with such nice backgrounds. Granted, blurred out backgrounds but still lovely backgrounds. I have a tendency to lean towards walls or shrubbery but my favourite seems to be ivy covered walls. They have such an old world feel, that transcends the girl posing in front of it. Not that I mind sharing the limelight. Ivy covered walls always remind me of my favourite show as a little girl, Madeline. They provide the perfect backdrop to anything that I'm wearing, giving it that extra touch of class.

It was a very seasonally cloudy day so obviously it was time to bring out the neon.

But it's time for me to branch out, no pun intended. Watch this space, you won't see ivy vines in awhile.

soccer shorts.

zara polka dot blouse (similar here) // alice & olivia shorts // vintage belt // cambridge satchel company bag // wittner wedges (similar here)

My mum is the type of person that will say what's on her mind; it's often led to me hastily changing my outfit last minute. She's a bit of a paradox to me, sometimes she has her very conservative ralph lauren wearing days but then she'll go out and buy a pair of white J Brand jeans before I even get on the trend.

But I digress, my mum calls these my pyjama-soccar-playing shorts. She says that they're a mix of the perfect pyjama pant and the side split (which I love the best) reminds her of sports shorts.

Mother (mostly) knows best; just not in this case. I still love these shorts!

Neon Loving.

Neon Loving.
1. Giambattista Valli silk chiffon-trimed tweed jacket
2. Mango Aviator sunglasses
3. Rag & Bone Surf Knit Legging
4. Christian Louboutin Pigalle 120 Patent Leather
5. T by Alexander Wang loose fit racerback tank

How amazing is this neon jacket?

I've been scouring the internet to find it, but out of stock everywhere (not that I can afford it)
Regardless, it's one of the most amazing jackets I've seen in awhile
Granted it's not the most everyday jackets but I can imagine it looking its best with a pair of raggy old jeans and simply white tank. So amazing.

I've been seeing a neon yellow jacket amidst the cybernet and instragram world
Hoping that it's zara and so I can get my grubby little hands on it

velvety blue.

wearing: wrangler knit top, mng denim shirt, paper heart red skirt, thakoon boots, alexander wang bag

I've had this skirt hanging in my closet for the longest time but I never got around to wearing it. It was just so short and bright, and to be honest I didn't know how to wear it. But sometimes, it's the easiest choices that turn out right. I love the way the denim looks next to the bright red! I decided to tone down all the other colours of my outfit, bag included.

Until I got to my shoes; granted, it's not a look at me colour, but it's navy velvet. It's one of those items that you have in your closet that you just want to sit and stroke (wow, that sounded a lot less weird in my head). I love the knot on the side, the pointy front and the chunky heel.

I'm sure some of you have realised, I have a new blog address. There's no deep and meaningful reason as to why, mostly just the fact that the old address felt not right. Sorry for the lack of explanation but hopefully a new site address would mean more posts and a new layout.

Light & Magic.

I'm absolutely in love with these photos. The whispy and ethereal glow of the model and all the yummy vintage lace paired with the afternoon sunlight makes me wish I could lounge around somewhere all day in light as air lace and floral crowns.
